Available for check out in the First Lutheran Church library, Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back is a fast read and for some a refreshing way of looking at Heaven.  Jane Love, buyer of books in the religion category for Barnes & Noble, calls the mega best seller a "crossover," meaning the book isn't being bought by just evangelical Christians.  No one really knows percentage of sales between Non-Christians and Christians.  But in order for this account of one boy's story to be No. 1 in the market place, lots of people have been reading it.  Makes you wonder if there is some sort of hunger for Heaven out there.  What would motivate you to read this book?

An amazing book!

I highly recommend this book! I read it while I was at camp and it brought a whole new meaning to life and how I should not be afraid of dying and going to heaven because from a 3 year old perspective, it sounds pretty amazing from meeting the angels and family members you have never met before to the exciting time of finally meeting Jesus, it just sounds magical. The thing that got me the most while reading the book is the different quotes and stories from the little boy. I would be reading and then all of the sudden my coworkers would hear a 'WHOA!" or "WOW!" from me. One part that sticks in my mind is when the dad asks the boy the question, "How long were you in heaven?" and the boy answers without a blink of an eye, "three minutes." I was taken a back by that answer because a lot happened in that short amount of time. Anyways, it is a great book and HIGHLY recommend it to everyone that wants a fresh new exciting perspective on how HEAVEN IS FOR REAL!
